Love, Love, Love

by Jeff Byrd

What’s it all about, Alfie? You asked,

A question timeless, a truth unmasked.

It’s about love—sweet, sacred, and pure,

A force that binds and helps us endure.

It’s not just a feeling, fleeting and light,

It’s the spark in the dark, the beacon of night.

It’s practical, real, with hands open wide,

A way of living where love is our guide.

It’s in the touch that soothes the pain,

In the hope reborn like the softest rain.

It’s in the smile that lifts the weary,

In hearts united, bold and cheery.

Love is the path that leads us home,

Through valleys deep, where wild winds roam.

It whispers gently, "You’re never alone,"

A truth as ancient as seeds long sown.

We touch our world with acts of grace,

Each one a prayer, a warm embrace.

For love expands where it’s freely shared,

A light eternal, always prepared.

So let this month be a grand refrain,

Of love’s sweet melody, its tender refrain.

With every breath, may we rise above,

And live the truth: it’s all about love.
