Peace Among Us All

by Jeff Byrd

In the tapestry of faiths we find,

A thread of peace in every mind.

Across beliefs, from near to far,

Peace is our shared, guiding star.

Buddha's calm and quiet way,

Speaks peace in each mindful day.

A path of stillness, breath, and care,

In silence, unity is there.

From Christian hands clasped in prayer,

Hope and love cast in the air.

"Peace be with you," they proclaim,

And hearts unite in sacred name.

In Islam’s call, with words so clear,

Salaam brings peace to all who hear.

With kindness and compassion bright,

They seek the path of shared light.

Judaism sings in shalom’s embrace,

A world redeemed, a world of grace.

Where justice blooms and mercy lives,

And peace is found in all one gives.

Hindu dharma weaves its art,

Of peace and balance in the heart.

From karma’s flow, the soul is freed,

In unity, all paths proceed.

Sikh devotion, fierce and kind,

Holds peace as strength of heart and mind.

With love for all and none to hate,

Their peace transforms the world’s estate.

And Jain, in gentleness profound,

Finds peace on Earth, where none are bound.

Ahimsa breathes in every deed,

A quiet way, where all are freed.

From every faith, in voice or prayer,

Peace rises like the morning air.

One family, strong, with hands entwined,

We find the peace for humankind.

May we, through love and true embrace,

Hold peace as kin, in time and space.

For in each path and faith expressed,

We know the peace in which we’re blesseded.
